SunGard Raleigh data center is located at 4518 South Miami Blvd, Suite 100, Durham, NC. The building was built in 1996. All areas handicapped accessible by ramps for ease of movement of materials and equipment. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, recovery and hotsite services, workforce continuity, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.
SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The building in which data center is located is 20,000 square feet out of which SunGard occupies 15,000 square feet that also include 7,200 square feet of raised floor. The data center security features exterior security cameras, integrated card reader security system, closed circuit TV throughout the facility, and 7 x 24 manned security guards. 24 hour fire wall surrounds the entire data center. The data center uses Fike Cheetah control system, FM-200 under-floor suppression, and an Intella-Scan graphics annunciator.
Raleigh data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The immediate power failure is protected by 2 x 160 KVA Exide UPS systems and 1 x 225 KVA Exide UPS system. The standby power is provided by 1250 kW diesel generator with 2,000 gallons of fuel storage tank on site. The data center has 24 x 7 refueling contract with Red Star Oil and also got 2,000 gallons reserve diesel fuel tank. The data center uses Zenith Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and Siemens switches. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 8 x 26 tons Data Aire air conditioning units and 2 x 5 tons Liebert air conditioning units. The data center uses DataTrax monitoring system for centralized monitoring, enhanced operational supervision and accelerated response to monitor alarms.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center provides OC12 fiber capacity via MCI, Gigabit Ethernet via Time Warner, and diverse routing to the street. The data center has 2 active PBX Option 61c lines and uses Nokia, WatchGuard and Cisco firewalls.
