SunGard Chicago data center (CHI-341) is located at 341-361 Haynes Drive, Wood Dale, IL. The data center has full interior loading docks, ladder rack system, 18-inch deep bolt down stringer system, and 9 feet 6 inches ceiling height. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, recovery and hotsite services, workforce continuity, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 44,520 square feet of total space, including 26,000 square feet of raised floor space with floor load of 625 lbs. per square feet. The cabinets are grounded independent of raised floor system. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with compliant with PCI DSS and ISO standards. The data center provides state of the art security system with interior and exterior facility monitored by state certified security personnel, CCTV monitoring with DVR recording and exterior doors monitored and alarmed. The facility has card access system to enter in the building and PIN required to access raised floor area space. The data center uses pre action dry pipe sprinkler fire suppression system with VESDA control and intelligent addressable detectors and initiating devices for any fire spark

Wood Dale data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The data center has 2 x diverse 12kV ComEd utility feeds, 2 x ComEd service transformers and 2 x redundant Automatic Throw over Switches. The immediate power failure is protected by 4 x Liebert 675 kW modules delivering 1,350 kW of total power. The standby power is provided by 2 x Cummins diesel generators (1,750 kW and 1,500 kW) with redundant fuel pumps and 8,000 gallons fuel storage tank onsite. The data center uses strings of wet cell UPS batteries, 60 cells in each string, 240 cells total and provides 6 x Liebert Power Distribution Units (PDUs). The facility has A/B power source capability. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 20 x 30 tons CRAC units delivering 600 tons cooling. The DataTrax monitoring system monitors all CRAC units, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, utility power, ATS, UPS, and PDUs for various alarm conditions, temperature, humidity and other potential alarm conditions.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center provides meshed multi-Vendor Internet transit connectivity, Multiple ILEC and CLEC access providers, diverse path long haul access (Public and Private), diverse fiber entry and intra-building fiber paths, redundant internal network distribution platforms, dual customer physical handoffs (Copper, single-mode and multi-mode fiber) and private production and recovery MPLS backbone access dedicated to SunGard subscriber traffic. 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
