Colocation America’s Chicago data center 5 is located at 2200 Busse Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007; and is one of the five data center facilities that are operated by Colocation America in the Chicago area. The data center is conveniently located 8 miles from the Chicago O’Hare airport.

The Colocation America data center offers flexible colocation space options including 1U rack space, 2U rack space, 4U rack space, 10U quarter cabinet, 21U half cabinet, 42U full cabinet, customized cage space, private suites and build-to-suit space. The data center provides loading docks and 42″ raised floor space for efficient airflow to equipment. The data center is a certified SSAE 16 SOC II facility that is regularly audited for the rigorous audit requirements for the implementing IT controls, and it also offers solutions fully meeting the complex compliance requirements of HIPAA and PCI DSS. The data center provides excellent security measures featuring 24x7x365 security guards, ballistic glass enclosed security check-in, front windows areas, monitoring of interior/exterior through CCTV cameras, key card access and dual authentication with biometric readers. The data center is equipped with pre action dry pipe fire suppression system to meet any fire emergencies.

The Chicago data center is a reliable and fault tolerant N+2 power infrastructure with 36.4 MW of fully redundant utility power capacity. The immediate power failure is protected by 32 rotatory UPS power systems with 1,300 kW of critical output each with N+2 redundancy, and an additional Swing UPS system. The extended power outage is backed up by 32 diesel powered engine generators with 2,250 kW capacity each with N+2 redundancy. The building has 4 x 50,000 gallons underground diesel storage tanks with 55 hours continuous running capacity. The N+1 PDUs distributes diverse power in A+B configuration to each cabinet in a failsafe design. The cooling and humidity levels in the data center is maintained by 16 centrifugal chillers with 1,150 tons capacity in N+2 redundant design.

The 2200 Busse Rd data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to more than 30 Tier I carriers and service providers. The data center provides N+1 redundancy on all its networks offering 100% network uptime with multi layer network design and multi Gigabit capacity. The data center has separate Point of Entry (POE) with diverse underground duct banks providing multiple entry points into the facility. The facility also has dedicated underground conduits to each computer room from multiple and diverse POEs. 24x7x365 real live support is provided by expert technical staff for any queries.
