Red Rock’s colocation center is a one-story building situated on one acre at 3719 East La Salle Street. This 15,815 sf facility is conveniently located south of Sky Harbor International Airport just minutes from downtown Phoenix. The building was previously occupied and used by Sprint/Nextel Telecommunications for seventeen years as a Central Office. Red Rock took occupancy October 1, 2015.
The building is divided into two distinct data center areas, and has a network operations center (“NOC”), a separate battery storage area with supporting equipment, loading bays with roll-up doors, storage, data center offices, and administrative offices. The two DC areas are approximately 5,000 sf and 3,500 sf. The NOC occupies approximately 1,200 sf.
The facility is data center ready. Electrical service is 800 amps, 277/480 volts, and 3-phase. Electrical service is backed-up by two diesel generators, one 750kw and one 350kw, both supplied by two above ground storage tanks holding 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The secured facility features fire suppression in the form of Preaction System, VESDA and FM-200 (5 tanks containing 3,500 lbs. of agent), Building Automation System, ten Liebert CRUs, Securitron Security system throughout with outside security cameras, rectifiers and other supporting equipment, and has appropriate cabling and fiber lines throughout the building, with fiber cable connections to multiple area fiber cable service providers including the telephonic grid.
