Verizon Business – Standard Denver Data Center

Verizon’s Denver colocation facility is a Verizon standard data center, and is located in Denver, CO. Verizon offers three types of data centers including; standard data center, advance data center, and premium data center with different sets of features and specifications under each type of data center.

The Verizon Denver data center provides a Telco carrier grade facility that includes web server cabinets in a non-caged configuration. Each rack/cabinet can support a total equipment weight of 1250 lbs. The data center has a security and monitoring system which includes video surveillance 24 x 7 x 365, and a pass card system is utilized to prevent unauthorized entry or other security breaches. The data center uses a fire suppression system for the safety of life and equipment.

The Denver data center provides AC and DC power to the customers equipment. The facility has A & B DC power feeds offering redundancy and protection. The data center maintains a temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit plus or minus 8 degrees with 20% to 65% (non-condensing) humidity within the facility. The data center has an internal alarm systems to monitor the operational status of the facility systems and reports any failures or anomalies to operations personnel.

The facility offers fully scalable bandwidth connections between their company and the customers’ equipment at 1.544 Mbps (DS-1/T-1) through 2.5 GB (OCx/GB) levels. Customer access to equipment located in the Standard data center is available upon a minimal 24-hour advance written notice by the customer to Verizon. Technical support services including remote eyes/hands are provided to the clients on an as required basis. Customers may open a trouble ticket via web portal or by calling the company support line.
