Verizon Business – Premium Data Center Denver

Verizon’s Denver is a Verizon premium data center, and is located in Denver, CO. Verizon offers three types of data centers including standard data center, advanced data center, and premium data center with different set of features and specification under each type of data center.

Denver data center provides the infrastructure services necessary to deploy customer’s Internet applications including web-server cabinets, telecom cabinets, two-post racks, and custom footprint; in caged and non-caged configurations. A custom cabinet footprint is 24 square feet in a non-caged space and 32 square feet in a caged space. Each rack/cabinet can support a total equipment weight of 1250 lbs. The data center is SAS 70 type II Audited facility. The data center has security and monitoring system including onsite security guards, and video surveillance 24 x 7 x 365. The electronic card reader system, KeyTrak, and Biometric scan is utilized to prevent unauthorized entry to data center or other security breaches. The data center uses fire suppression system for the life and equipment safety.

The data center provides AC, DC, and three phase power to the customer equipment. The facility has A & B DC power feeds offering redundancy and protection. Redundancy is achieved by installing primary and redundant power circuits to the space which allows for failover if the primary power circuit fails. The data center maintains a low end temperature of 64.4 degrees Fahrenheit and a high end temperature of 80.6 degrees Fahrenheit, while a low end moisture 41.9 degrees Fahrenheit DP and a high end moisture 60% RH and 59 degrees Fahrenheit DP . The data center cooling is a cold aisles design providing the efficient cooling to equipment. The data center has internal alarm systems to monitor the operational status of the facility systems and report any failures or anomalies to operations personnel.

The facility offers fully scalable bandwidth connections between company and customers’ equipment at 1.544 Mbps (DS-1/T-1) through 2.5 GB (OCx/GB) levels. The facility has direct access to the Verizon’s IP Backbone via data center primary Internet connectivity. Verizon offers either tiered or burstable primary circuits. Tiered bandwidth offers network connectivity with a maximum bandwidth limit, while burstable bandwidth provides usage based flexible connectivity. Customer access to equipment located in Standard data center is available upon at least 24-hour advance written notice by customer to Company. Technical support services including remote eyes/hands are provided to the clients as and when require basis. Customer may open a trouble ticket via web portal or by calling company support line.
