Lightower Fiber Network’s Philadelphia data center is located at 401 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The data center is located in premier carrier hotel in Philadelphia. Lightower offers a comprehensive suite of colocation services.
The data center offers half and full cabinet colocation space, and customized caged space. The data center has full 24×7 access monitoring system by building management and full 24×7 card reader access through main door. The data center uses pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for any fire spark. Integrated smoke and heat detection system is also installed in the facility.
The data center provides AC and DC power to the customer’s equipment. The facility uses multi module UPS systems for the backup power on the loss of utility power with immediate shift over of power load to diesel generator. The diesel generator has fuel storage for 24 hours of runtime and 2 hours response for fuel delivery. The data center provides power density of 200 watts per square feet with higher power densities are available. The diverse power is delivered through redundant PDUs with A/B power feeds. Cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled through HVAC units in N+1 redundancy with cooling not less than 200 BTU/H per square feet. The data center provides HVAC leak detection system. Lightower has maintenance contracts for testing of critical electrical and mechanical equipment on quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.
The 401 N. Broad Street colocation facility is a carrier neutral facility with cross connections to multiple carriers of choice. The data center is connected to Lightower Fiber Networks’ backbone allowing access to high capacity Wavelength, Ethernet and SONET services. With dual entrances and risers into the building, the data center is able to support diversity with network services. The 24 x 7 x 365 NOC staff provides the monitoring and support services.
