INAP’s Dallas data center (DAL004) is located at 400 South Akard, Dallas, TX 75202. The data center located in downtown Dallas is at 20 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth international airport. The data center is reinforced concrete and structural steel construction. The facility has 175 MPH at exposure C wind rating, seismic zone 1 construction, and secured receiving area designated for customer equipment. INAP has aligned with Layered Technologies, Inc. to provide secure and well equipped data center services at this location.
The data center offers a number of colocation options, including cabinets in half and full sizes, custom caged space, and private suites. The data center provides 330,000 square feet of total space, including 108,000 square feet of colocation space. Antistatic raised floor is designed for the structural capacity of 250 lbs. per square feet. The data center provides the state of the art security measures, including private gated parking lot, car scan for private parking and entry points, 24x7x365 security guards onsite, CCTV monitoring with archiving of data, and facility issued photo IDs. The entrance to the data center floor is authenticated through the use of card key and biometric scan. The facility uses double interlocked, pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for any fire spark.
Dallas (DAL004) data center is a reliable and fault tolerant N+1 power infrastructure with concurrently maintainable power system. The power to the data center is provided by six utility feeds from CBD grid. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by 4 x 800 kVA MGE UPS system and 2 x 1,200 kVA CAT UPS system in N+1 configuration on power failure. The secondary power is provided by 4 x 2 MW and 3 x 1.5 MW diesel generators in N+1 redundancy onsite with 3 days supply fuel stored onsite and two priority fuel contracts. The data center provides 120V and 208V AC power circuits with each circuit breaker backed by diverse power distribution units (PDUs). The cooling and humidity in the data center is maintained by HVAC units delivering 3,500 tons of cooling in N+1 redundancy.
400 South Akard is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity options to multiple network service providers, including all the global Tier 1 networks. The data center offers 100% network uptime SLA. 24x7x365 NOC staff provides the helpdesk and support services, and remote hands services.
