Data Foundry – Austin Data Center

Data Foundry’s Austin data center is located at 7401 East Ben White Blvd, Ste 1000, Bldg One, Austin, TX 78741. The data center  provides amenities like customer lounge, secure loading dock with semi-trailer access, dedicated staging and burn-in room, onsite part sparing, ample parking, tennis and basketball courts, and 1.5 mile hike and bike trail.

Data center provides half and full lockable cabinets, caged space starting at 3 cabinets, and dedicated private suites starting from 2,500 square feet. The data center provides 40,000 square feet of space which also includes 21,133 square feet of raised floor space. The facility is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC I Type II requirements, and is HIPAA compliant. The external security measures taken by Data Foundry includes concrete filled steel reinforced barriers surrounding the exterior, barbed wire fence surrounding external infrastructure, and video cameras monitoring outside environment. The internal security is provided by 67 x CCTV surveillance system that records full motion video to multiple DVRs. Card key access and hand key biometric access control is required to gain access to data center floor. Man traps at all external doors prevent unauthorized access. The data center uses an extensive set of fire detection and suppression system that includes High Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD) sensors, FE36 handheld extinguishers, FM 200 building wide system, and Dual interlock pre action dry pipe sprinkler system at data center.

Austin data center has dedicated 400 MW Austin Energy Electrical substation. The fully pre built transformers pad provides expansion capabilities. The immediate power failure is protected by 4 x 500 kVA PowerWare 9315 redundant UPS system in N+1 configuration dedicated to colocation area, and able to provides 30 minutes of backup time at full load. The data center has also got 3 x 550 kVA PowerWare 9315 parallel UPS system in N+1 redundancy, and 2 x 80 kVA PowerWare parallel UPS system. The emergency power is provided by 3 x 1,875 kVA Caterpillar diesel generators in N+1 configuration with 6,000 gallons fuel storage tank allowing 48+ hours of runtime. The data center has 12 x 150 kVA PDI and 4 x 300 kVA Power Distribution Units (PDUs) capable of both 120V and 220V power. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 30 tons Liebert CRAC units in redundant N+1 configuration, and includes excess Chiller Water Loop capacity. The building management system control monitors and reports any abnormal conditions within the data center, and can be remotely operated.

Houston data center is a carrier neutral facility offering connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The Internet infrastructure includes redundant Cisco 12000 series routers, redundant Cisco 6500 series routers. The data center staff provides helpdesk and support services 24 x 7 x 365.
