American Internet Services (AIS) San Diego Tech Centre (SDTC) data center is located at 9725 Scranton Road, San Diego, CA 92121. The potential for any type of natural disaster other than an earthquake is extremely unlikely. All the scientific data indicates that data center is at a very low risk of an earthquake that would disrupt data center operation. The data center provides amenities like isolated and secure shipping & receiving area, equipment staging area with secure storage, client work area with wireless and wired Internet, and client lounge.

The data center offers colocation cabinets in 13u, 14u, 17u, 22u, 26u, 42u, 45u, and 54u sizes; shared colocation cabinet space in one rack unit increment; private data center suites and custom cages ranging from 100 square feet to 5,000 square feet. The data center provides 19,000 square feet of space that also include raised flooring. The AIS service architecture is based on ITIL v3 and the facilities are audited periodically in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC 1, 2, and 3 type 2 requirements. Periodic SSAE 16 SOC audits validate that AIS has the appropriate procedures and controls in place to safeguard client data, equipment, and connectivity. The data center has enforced state of the art security arrangements that includes security personnel 24 x 7 x 365 onsite, video cameras with remote door release, CCTV digital surveillance system with 90 to 180 days storage, biometric scanners, digital card access at all data center doors, and mantrap entry. All the client equipment is tagged upon arrival and entered in client account for monitoring. The data center has got single interlock, pre action dry pipe fire suppression system support throughout the facility.

SDTC data center is a N+1/2N redundant power infrastructure facility.  The data center has dual source supported power distributions for all client hardware, while single source feed is also available as client option. The DC power plant is capable of providing -54 V positive grounded distribution with 6 KAmp capacity in 2N configuration. The data center has A/B, 208V or 120V power distribution options available, and provides 8 kW of power density. The data center has UPS power distribution system with automatic emergency standby diesel generators for backup power supply. The data center utilize full data grade HVAC systems with N+1 redundancy, and data center space is designed with advanced cold row containment to be both energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility, and provides connectivity to multiple Tier 1 carriers and is able to maintain continuous connectivity even when carriers fail. The data center offers diverse fiber entrances to withstand multiple fiber cuts and maintain connectivity, and performance routed network provides the best possible performance and automatically routes around problems on the Internet. The facility has private OC-192 fiber connections between data centers for off-site backup, data replication and disaster recovery. The data center has implemented Hot Standby Routing Protocol (HSRP) in ethernet or fiber. 24 x 7 x 365 emergency response to critical events is provided by client service engineers to provide fast solutions to any problem. The NOC staff also provides remote hands and eye support, and managed tape rotation and storage services.
