SunGard Boston data center (BOS-70) is located at 70 Innerbelt Road, Somerville, MA 02143. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, recovery and hotsite services, remote managed IT services, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.
SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 20,000 square feet of total space, including 1125,000 square feet available for build to suit. The data center adheres to and certified to SSAE 16 type II controls and standards. The data center provides 16′-21′ ceiling heights for easy installation. Multiple physical layers of security is provided with 24 x 7 manned security, access monitoring via NOC, CCTV monitoring, and data center access logs. The data center has gated entry, secure parking facility, Kevlar protected lobby area and bulletproof glass. The data center uses a series of authentication from biometric scan to key card access controls to multiple mantraps. The data center uses pre action dry pipe sprinkler fire suppression system with VESDA early smoke detection apparatus for any fire spark.
Somerville data center provides N+1 to 2N+1 power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The data center power is provided by 2 x redundant 13.8 KV public utility feeds. The immediate power failure is protected by UPS system in 2N and N+1 power configurations. The standby power is provided by 4 x 2 MW diesel generators with 2,000 gallons diesel fuel tanks in N+1 configuration. A+B power feeds to customers equipment is provided by modular A/B 400 Amp Starline busway. The data center also provides AC and DC power options. The cooling in the data center is designed to facilitate upto 25 kW per rack. The cooling system features anti static 24 inches raised floor, cooled-air delivery, isolated return air ceiling plenum, and custom hot and cold aisle containment. The data center monitoring system is tied to electrical and mechanical systems monitoring.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to direct access to 20+ carriers and Internet Service Providers (ISP). 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
