mindSHIFT – Commack Data Center

mindSHIFT’s Commack data center is located at 47 Mall Dr., Commack, NY 11725. The data center is a Tier IV infrastructure facility providing fully redundant and fault tolerant infrastructure.

The data center offers flexible colocation space options, and is a 40,000 square feet facility. The data center is regularly audited and is a certified SSAE 16 SOC I Type II facility. The data center provides multiple layers of hardened physical security measures such as perimeter security with Cameras system, CCTV video surveillance with digital storage, and 24x7x365 security personnel presence. The access to data center is restricted to authorized personnel by two factor authentication, including biometric scanners and card access system. The facility is protected from fire through the use of FM 200 fire suppression system, and is equipped with VESDA control for an early smoke detection.

The Commack data center is a reliable N+1 power infrastructure, and is fed with 2,750 kVA of robust, conditioned, and highest quality AC power. The critical infrastructure is protected by 3×750 kVA and 1×500 kVA Liebert 600 series UPS system in N+1 redundancy. The UPS features redundant battery cabinets and a full maintenance bypass, allowing for service and upgrades without interruption. The emergency power to data center is fed through redundant 5750 kW diesel generators in N+1 redundancy with 30 hours of fuel supply, and extended fuel contracts. These diesel generators and failover systems are regularly tested to ensure their working and performance. The N+1 PDUs delivers diverse power to each cabinet in A+B design. The cooling and humidity in the data center is effectively controlled through N+1 Liebert HVAC units and Liebert rooftop glycol dry cooler units in N+1 redundancy.

mindSHIFT’s 47 Mall Dr. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center network infrastructure features Cisco multilevel architecture with redundant fiber optic connections. The data center also provides carrier diversity via multiple OC48, OC12, and GigE. The 24x7x365 NOC provides support, monitoring, and remote hands services.
