Expedient’s Cleveland data center offers clients a stable and secure environment for their IT infrastructure needs. The facility is strategically located in a risk adverse geographic region, where the risk of natural events such as hurricanes and earthquakes is next to zero. The data center’s operations support center is fully staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and clients have access to the facility at all hours. Video surveillance, biometric hand scanners, man traps and key card access provide a multi-layered security structure at all times. Inside, a FE-25 Dupont dire suppression system provides a safeguard for clients’ IT assets. The operations control center also closely monitors temperature and humidity.
The facility itself is over 21,000 total square feet, with 13,000 square feet of 24 inch raised floor space. The power infrastructure at the facility is supported by four 625kVA Liebert uninterrupted power supply systems. Four 750 kilowatt Caterpillar diesel generators power the back up systems. The cooling system is set up in an N+1 configuration, and provides over 500 total tons of cooling. The network infrastructure allows for multiple fiber entrances into the building and for clients, includes direct access to multiple Tier 1 internet providers. Expedient’s high availability network includes firewalls and load balancers and multiple Expedient data centers are connected via a 10Gbps fiber optic ring. On site engineers are also available 24 hours a day to provide network support.
