CyrusOne’s Carrollton data center is located at 1649 West Frankford Rd. Carrollton, TX 75007. The CyrusOne Carrollton data center is a 9 minute drive from DFW International Airport. The data center is located in a Zone X (low risk) flood zone area with a seismic zone rating of Zone 0 (lowest risk), commercial zone rating is light industrial, building wind rating estimated to be F2. The facility is of a massive modular scale; holds six 747s, 4 football fields, 15 Space Shuttles and 2 Washington Monuments. The data center provides office space, common areas, recreation center, premium customer offices, and kitchens. The CyrusOne data center features a reinforced physical structure which includes concrete bollards, steel-lined walls, and bulletproof glass.
The Carrollton data center provides wholesale and retail colocation options, and these service are provided through cabinets, caged space, and private suites. The CyrusOne data center provides 670,000 square feet of space including 400,000 square feet of raised floor. The Texas data center is a SSAE 16 SOC I Type certified, HIPPA and PCI compliant, TIA 942 Class 4 enabled, and USGBC LEED silver design. The data center provides excellent security features with a perimeter fence, on site security guards, revolving doors, and video surveillance with recording of the interior and exterior of the facility. Access to the data center is restricted through a series biometric and key card authentication with mantrap.
The data center is built to top-tier standards offering 100% SLA on power, and designed to deliver 60 megawatts of power capacity and has excellent power usage effectiveness (PUE). Multiple levels of power redundancy are available in N, 2N, and N+1 configuration. The diverse power is delivered by two independent circuits, while providing power density from 150-200+ watts per square feet. The power outrage is protected through a 750 KVA Mitsubishi UPS system with battery bank, and automatic transfer to 2.25 MW dedicated diesel generators for emergency power with a 5,000 gallon belly tank. The CyrusOne Carrollton data center power cables are High Performance Computing (HPC) capable, supporting 250 Watts per square feet, and capable of supporting even 1000 Watts per square feet.
The 36 inch raised floor design provides the cooling and temperature control in the data center through dual cooling systems including unique indirect evaporative with redundant DX – 80% free cooling, and indirect evaporative cooling units. The data center features no CRAC/CRAH units, and no water on on data center floor. The dual action interlocking dry pipe fire suppression with VESDA control is installed in the data center for safety. The colocation services are provided through cabinets, caged space, private suites, and data halls. The data center is a carrier neutral facility with dark fiber connectivity options, and also part of CyrusOne Texas IX (Internet Exchange). The data center has 24×7 support staff available in Network Operation Centers with remote hands facility available.
