The Carpathia IBX Vault data center is a Tier III facility and is located in the East Coast’s most tech-savvy, densely connected regions for IP bandwidth and is one of the most secure in the industry with hardened structures. The IBX Vault offers a comprehensive suite of hosting services addressing FISMA, DIACAP, FedRAMP, HIPAA/HITECH, PCI and/or SOX compliance requirements. The Carpathia data center has 64,000 square feet of space with 30,821 square feet dedicated as colocation area, and 1,000 square feet as a Satellite platform. The data center facilities security is maintained with concentric rings of security, 360 degree video surveillance, biometric access points, armed guards, and nearly impenetrable Lampertz vaults. The Carpathia data center has 7.3 MW of power at full build out and all the power infrastructure is minimum N+1 with UPS and backup diesel generators with refuel contracts to ensure continuously uninterrupted power is avalable. Cooling and HVAC platforms are also a minimum N+1 to effectively moderate the temperature, airflow and humidity conditions in the data center to ASHRAE standards for operation of IT equipment. The racks are directly integrated into cooling framework patented design.
The IBX Vault incorporates diverse path Internet access capacity into the facility and offers an Internet Availability SLA of 99.9%. Carpathia offers three types of IP-based access service from the IBX Vault. Built on a carrier-neutral redundant network infrastructure, the Carpathia Intelligent Routing Network (CIRN™) interconnects with 14 different network providers and routes traffic based on proprietary algorithms designed to send data via the most efficient path each time. The Carpathia facility has multiple redundant paths, dark fiber and DWDM for high availability. The standard bandwidth service provides direct cross-connect to establish in-building POPs of major carriers such as AT&T, AboveNet and Level3. The support services are provided 24×7 by highly technical proficient professionals with certifications in multiple IT competencies.
