The data center is regularly audited in accordance with stringent requirements of SSAE 16 Type II and is a certified facility. The data center provides 3,000 square feet of colocation space. The data center maintains multiple levels of security such as CCTV camera surveillance of the entire facility, intrusion system security, and requires a HID access card to gain entrance to the facility. The data center uses FM200 fire suppression system to extinguish any fire spark.
The Albany data center is a reliable and redundant power infrastructure. Multiple APC InfraStruXure UPS systems in N+1 redundancy deliver uninterrupted backup and conditioned power to critical infrastructure that is backed up by dedicated standby diesel generators in the event of an extended power outage. These diesel generators have fuel storage available onsite and are load tested on a weekly basis. The data center has a fully N+1 -48V DC powered telecom room, and all servers are provided with a 120V AC circuit and dual power feeds in an A+B design to each cabinet. The facility has deployed an APC power distribution and monitoring system. The data center is equipped with N+1 APC CRAC units on the floor, and multiple glycol cooling pumps and fluid coolers for moderating temperature and humidity levels.
