Superb Internet Springfield data center (DCA3) is located at 6621 Electronic Dr., Springfield, VA 22151. Designed with the ultimate in protection against physical attacks, DCA3 is located in a natural disaster free zone, protected against floods, tornadoes, and earthquakes.
DCA 3 data center offers single server colocation space from 1-2U, 3-4U, 5-7U rack space, half and full rack space, and secured cabinets. All colocation spaces include 20 Amps of 110V power and a fully burstable Fast Ethernet uplink with 10 Mbps of HopOne Internet IP transit. The data center is a SSAE 16 SOC I audited facility. The facility has closed circuit, live video surveillance 24 x 7 x 365 monitoring all the areas of data center. The colocated racks are kept under lock and key, and key card access control are implemented for granting access to data center resources. The dual interlocking, pre action dry pipe fire suppression system with zone separation is installed for any fire spark.
The data center has a very secure and reliable power infrastructure having fully redundant AC power with the very latest AC technology for lower energy use. The power feed provided through a dedicated transformer exclusive to the data center. The immediate power failure is protected by eight parallel PowerWare 1440 kVA UPS systems in N+1 configuration. Two redundant 1.25 MW diesel generators provide the emergency power to data center on the loss of utility power with 48 hours of fuel storage onsite. The data center is served with 200+ tons of AC cooling using multiple, redundant Data Aire Precision units; expandable to 500+ tons. The data center has advance detection system for temperature, humidity, smoke, and particulates.
Springfield data center is a carrier neutral facility with the option to connect to multiple Tier I networks, and offers 100 % SLA on network uptime. The data center has physical fiber redundancy through multiple private OC-192 SONET rings, with Cox communication. The facility has redundant Gigabit Ethernet-based network Backbone-grade equipment i.e. Cisco 12012 GSR, Catalyst 6509 MSFC2, Cisco Catalyst 2950G, and 100Mbps full duplex port or 1Gbps port available to all servers. Superb Internet has over 500 peering sessions – most traffic goes directly to the destination network, bypassing any intermediary transit carriers. The data center is staffed by expert technicians 24 x 7 x 365 providing live support via phone and ticketing system.
