SunGard – Minneapolis Data Center

SunGard Minneapolis data center is located at 511 11th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN 55415. The data center is located in a Telco hotel. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, enterprise cloud services, remote managed IT services, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 1,800 square feet of total space and also provides 18″ of raised floor space. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with compliant with PCI DSS and ISO standards. The data center provides 24 x 7 security personnel, exterior security cameras and video surveillance. The facility has integrated proximity card reader system in place for gaining access to data center resources. The data center uses FM200 fire suppression system with VESDA control for any fire spark.

Minneapolis data center provides a reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The immediate power failure is protected by 3 x Logical UPS systems comprised of 8 x Powerware 160 kVA UPS banks. The standby power is provided by 825 kW and 1,500 kW Cummins diesel generators with 2,700 gallons fuel storage capacity. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 6 x 30 tons Glycol chilled Liebert units and 5 x 26 tons glycol chilled Data Aire units.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center also offers Cisco and Juniper powered Internet mesh platform, 5 x local loop providers over SONET, 3 x hubbed DS-3s for PTP and frame relay connections, Cat5 zoned cabling system, and dual Ethernet drops to every customer cabinet.
