SunGard Boston data center (BOS-20) is located at 20 Overland Street, Boston, MA 2215. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, enterprise cloud services, remote managed IT services, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 62,622 square feet of total space, including 25,032 square feet of raised floor space. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with compliant with PCI DSS and ISO standards. The data center provides state of the art security with trained security personnel and CCTV monitoring and recording of inside and outside of facility. For additional security measures security rovers are deployed to patrol each room on an hourly basis. The visitors are required to sign in at security desk and given visitors badge, and will be escorted to data center facilities by staff. All access doors are monitored and alarmed for tamper protection.

Boston data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The data center has dual 13.2kv utility feeds, dual 13.2kv substations, 480V 4,000 amp distribution system and emergency power generation system. The utility substations (USS) allow step down voltage to 480V with 4,000 Amps and provide TVSS (Transient surge protection) per USS. Power Distribution Units (PDU), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and a Utility Service Bus (USB) continue the diverse distributed system. Emergency power generation system consists of 2 x closed transition Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Emergency Service Bus (ESB), and redundant diesel generation. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 32 x individual units for a total of 750 tons of air and has dual compressors for increased control and diversity. The units are located within the raised floor area and equipped with IR humidifiers and dehumidifiers. HVAC units are monitored via Building Monitoring System (BMS) for high and low temperatures and humidity, loss of airflow or clogged filtration, and compressor or fan failure.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One network providers. The data center has 4 x Internet feeds provided by three carriers; Sprint 2 Gig feeds, Verizon Business 1 Gig feed, and AT&T 1 Gig feed. All of these are multipath and bidirectional. The data center also provides Lighttower dark Fiber, with access to the SunGard network. 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
