This Pittsburgh data center provides a reliable power infrastructure. The facility provides standard 20 Amps of DC power, or 10 Amps of commercial AC power, and also offers higher power options depending on the need and choice of the customer. Immediate power failure is protected by DC battery backup for approximately 8 hours. The standby power is provided by a diesel generator tap that is able to provide backup power supply for 24-27 hours at full load. The generator tap is a portable generator that can be moved and installed in a prolonged outage. Fibertech also uses disaster recovery plans to provide alternate power sources for extended outages. The 2 x 5 ton Liebert units effectively moderate the cooling and humidity in the data center for optimized performance of all hardware.
The facility is a carrier neutral facility with the flexibility of customized solutions for interconnection with numerous other network providers. The facility has diverse fiber entrances and riser systems, and provides network connections in a point to point or ring configuration. The NOC staff is available 24 x 7 x 365 to answer technical questions, assist in troubleshooting issues, and engineer new applications. The data center also offers remote and smart hands services.
