ddCloud – Janesville Data Center

ddCloud’s Janesville data center is located at 432 Midland Road, Janesville, WI 53546. The data center constructed in 2009 is strategically located in Janesville, just 60 minutes from Madison, and 90 minutes from Chicago and Milwaukee. The facility is 12″ precast concrete structure able to withstand a F5 tornado. The data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility.

The data center offers flexible colocation space options. The building provides a total of 22,000 square feet of space , including 2,184 square feet of data center space. The data center provides raised floor space for efficient cooling and subfloor cable management. The data center regularly undergoes rigorous compliance requirements and is a SSAE 16 SOC I type II certified facility. The data center provides a secure environment by 24x7x365 CCTV monitoring, escorted access to data center space, and secure access into facility through badge scan access system. The data center uses 3M clean agent fire suppression system for extinguishing any fire spark. Janesville data center is fully redundant, reliable, and fault tolerant N+1 power infrastructure.

The entire critical infrastructure is protected by redundant N+1 APC UPS system on the loss of utility power. The standby Cummins diesel generators of 250 kW capacity each with automatic transfer switch provides the emergency power in the prolonged power outage. Each generator is has 72 hours of runtime capacity and multiple refuelling contracts with different vendors. The diverse and conditioned power in a true A+B redundant electric path is delivered through multiple APC PDUs. The cooling and humidity levels in the data center are effectively controlled through N+1 HVAC units in hot/cold aisle and hot aisle containment cabinet layout.

ddCloud’s 432 Midland Road data center is a carrier neutral facility with the connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center has diverse fiber entrance and fully redundant network infrastructure powered by Cisco equipment. The data center has deployed APC InfraXtrucure Management Platform, Solarwinds Orion NPM and APM, and Cisco MARS/IPS system. The data center technical staff provides the helpdesk and support services.
