Data Foundry’s Houston data center is located at 5555 San Felipe, Ste 625, Houston, TX 77056. The data center is located near downtown Houston, and provides amenities like abundant parking facility and star quality hotel located in the building. The data center offers colocation and disaster recovery services.
Data center provides half and full lockable cabinets, caged space starting at 3 cabinets, and dedicated private suites starting from 2,500 square feet. The data center provides 20,000 square feet of space which also includes raised floor with excess load capacity. The facility is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC I Type II requirements, and is HIPAA compliant. The external security measures taken by Data Foundry includes valid photo identification of visitors for elevators and floor access, freight elevators are card controlled, sign-in and sign-out in the building lobby, and escorted and returned to lobby by data center staff, all deliveries are logged and dropped off at the cargo bay, and external video cameras monitoring. The internal security is provided by video surveillance 24 x 7 x 365 and patrolled by the Harris County Sheriffs department. Card key access and hand key biometric access control is required to gain access to data center floor. Man traps at all external doors prevent unauthorized access. The data center uses multiple FE 227 DuPont fire suppression, zone configured clean agent extinguishers with failsafe audible alarm for any fire spark. Data Foundry maintains (2) technicians certified in MOTs fire safety course.
Houston data center has redundant internal power delivery infrastructure in N+ 1 redundant configuration. The utility power is fed by two redundant power feeds from separate power grids. The immediate power failure is protected by 2 x 500 kVA PowerWare 9315 redundant UPS system in N+1 configuration dedicated to colocation area, and able to provides 8 hours of backup time at 60% load. 2 x diesel generators owned and maintained by building, and 1 x natural gas generator is owned by Data Foundry with indefinite runtime. The data center has multiple redundant Power Distribution Units (PDUs) at 120V/220V. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 60 tons Liebert CRAC units in redundant N+1 configuration, and includes excess Chiller Water Loop capacity. The building management system control monitors and reports any abnormal conditions within the data center, and can be remotely operated.
Houston data center is a carrier neutral facility offering connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center has 4 points of entry for fiber delivery, and two internal risers for fiber elevation. The Internet infrastructure includes redundant Cisco 12000 series routers, redundant Cisco 6000 series routers, BGP4 for optimal selection and redundancy, globally load balanced DNS servers, and redundant mail servers. The data center staff provides helpdesk and support services 24 x 7 x 365.
