The data center is located within Philadelphia’s University City Science Center that was established as a technology center by 31 of the areas universities, hospitals and scientific organizations, and is a Telco style data center.

The Philadelphia data center is annually audited for compliance requirements and is a certified SSAE 16 SOC I Type II facility, and undergoes independent 3rd party HIPAA and PCI assessments for 100% compliance requirements. The data center provides multiple layers of security, including 24x7x365 onsite personnel, CCTV monitoring and recording of every activity, mandatory identity logging of all outside visitors, building and facility entry secured by magnetic locks, and mantrap entry utilizing biometric and key card access to data center space. The facility is equipped with a state of the art fire detection and suppression system to extinguish any fire.

The data center has a reliable power infrastructure that’s never experienced a power outage, and offers 99.99% SLAs on power. Immediate power failure is protected by redundant UPS systems that are backed by onsite diesel generators with automatic transfer switch. The diverse power is delivered in A+B feed to each cabinet with power failover protection. The cooling and humidity levels in the data center are effectively moderated through redundant HVAC units for the optimum performance of all hardware components.
