Situated 15 miles north of Boston, Axcelx’s Wakefield colocation facility is located at 200 Quannapowitt Pkwy, Wakefield MA 01880.
Axcelx’s Wakefield data center provides clients with a secure and stable environment for its information technology resources and needs. The facility is 218,000 square feet, is SOC 2 certified and is secured through multiple systems including infrared motion activated cameras and video surveillance, biometric access control and 24 hour a day, seven-day a week on-site security. All the while providing customers with 24/7 access to the facility. To protect against any type of fire danger, a VESDA air sampling system is deployed, along side a dry-pipe, pre-action fire suppression system Axcelx also provides clients with self managed temperature and humidity monitoring in real-time. The cooling systems are also designed to support dense environments and CRAC units are set up in a N+1 configuration. 400 ton air chillers, arranged in an N+1 configuration are also deployed, forcing cool air beneath the raised floor.
The power and network systems are also designed with multiple redundancies. The facility’s AC power is configured in a N+1 design and up to 25 kilowatts are available to each cabinet. Redundant, N+1 back up power is also fed into the facility through diverse PDUs, and between 1 amp and 60 amps of power can be delivered, in either 110V or 208V configurations. The network system is anchored by a fully redundant IPv4 and IPv6 as well as diverse fiber entrances to the facility.
