The zColo data center facility is located at 800 E Business Center Drive in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The zColo data center facility is minutes from the Chicago/O’Hare Airport and just 25 miles outside of downtown Chicago. The facility offers 6,500 square feet of raised floor data center space and Chicago colocation solutions are provided through private suites, caged space, and cabinets. The building has more than 16 Megawatts of utility power to handle any of your power-intensive applications and server configurations with power density over 200 watts per square foot of usable UPS power. The zColo data center has 24 x 7 monitoring and security with video surveillance, and authorized access to the facility is granted through card readers, and biometric scanners. The zColo Chicago data center has 16,000 kw of utility power configured with N+1 backup power. Power failure is protected by a 10,000 kw UPS system configured with 2N redundancy, and an immediate shift to diesel generator. The zColo data center climate is controlled through N+1 configured multi 30 tons Liebert HVAC units for optimum performance of equipment. The pre action fire suppression system with photo-ionization and smoke deduction, FIKE cheetah alarm, VESDA and handheld incipient devices are installed within the data center.
The Chicago zColo data center location has diverse fiber entrances and offers on-site remote hands service. The zColo data center is a carrier neutral facility, and provides primary connectivity to carriers like AT&T, Level 3 communication, Verizon, Comcast, and XO communication. The SLAs are supported by geographically diverse NOCs. The remote hands facilities are also offered to the customers that include cable installation and replacement, test collaboration, component replacement, visual surveillance, and other miscellaneous services.
