The zColo data center in downtown Chicago is located at 600 South Federal Street, and offers Chicago colocation and interconnection services. The facility offers a new downtown connectivity option to serve the financial industry, media and other internet content customers. The zColo data center is also equipped to handle power density requirements up to 200 watts/square foot. The facility offers 10,900 square feet of data center space and provide Chicago colocation solutions through private suites, caged space, and cabinets. The Chicago data center has 24 x 7 monitoring and security with video surveillance, and authorized access to the facility is granted through card readers and biometric devices. The Chicago data center has AC and DC power distribution and has redundant power grids to the facility. Power failure is protected by a UPS system and an immediate shift of the power load to a 2 MW diesel generator. The data center climate is controlled through a N+1 configured air-cooled chiller and HVAC units with cool aisle containment through EMS monitoring for optimum performance of equipment. The automatic fire suppression system with smoke deduction and pre action sprinklers are installed in the data center building.

The facility offer in-suite connection to 20+ carriers, and direct connection to Zayo’s 18+ national metro and long haul fiber network. With carrier-neutral access to Zayo’s 4,629,000+ fiber network, and 900o+ on-net buildings, the options to interconnect to key business partners and providers are abundant with zColo’s Chicago colocation facility. The SLAs are supported by geographically diverse NOCs. The facilities remote hands are also offered to the customers which include cable installation and replacement, test collaboration, component replacement, visual surveillance, and other miscellaneous services.
