zColo’s data center located in downtown Baltimore at 111 Market Pl is the market’s primary carrier hotel. The zColo data center is situated between Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. in the Northeast corridor, and is a key node connecting regional and long haul networks from New York to Washington, D.C. The facility offers 4,100 square feet of data center space. Their Baltimore colocation solutions are provided through private suites, caged space, and cabinets. The zColo data center has 24 x 7 monitoring and security with video surveillance, and authorized access to the facility is granted through card readers. The zColo data center offers AC and DC power distribution. Power failure is protected by a UPS system and an immediate shift of the power load to 300 kw diesel generator in the event there is an outage. The zColo data center climate is controlled through a N+1 configured AC system for the optimum performance of equipment. The automatic fire suppression system with smoke deduction and pre action sprinklers are installed in the data center building.
The zColo Baltimore data center location has diverse fiber entrances and offers on-site remote hands service. As a key node connecting regional and long haul networks from New York to Washington, D.C., the facility offers extensive connectivity options to nine carriers within the building and to 300 Lexington, another carrier hotel in Baltimore, via zColo’s Metro Interconnect service. The SLAs are supported by geographically diverse NOCs. The remote hands facilities are also offered to the customers that include cable installation and replacement, test collaboration, component replacement, visual surveillance, and other miscellaneous services.
