Weberz’s Portland data center is located at 22414 N.E. Townsend Way, Fairview, OR 97024. The data center was built in 2009 and is a purpose-built facility specifically designed, engineered, and constructed for meeting hosting demands.
The data center offers colocation space through rack space in 1U increments, space for tower servers, half cabinets, and full cabinets. The facility provides security that includes 24 x 7 x 365 monitoring through CCTV cameras, all entrances physically monitored by staff, and key card access into the data center. The data center uses state of the art fire detection and suppression systems for extinguishing any fires.
The Portland data center provides a reliable power infrastructure with power to the facility being is served from Portland General Electrics power grid via a 3-phase power feed into its own private transformer, which is on site. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by an APC UPS system with battery backup that is capable of providing 30 minutes of backup power. The standby diesel generators with automatic transfer switch provides emergency power in the event of a prolonged power outage which transfers the facilities load within 10 second of utility failure. Power is then kept on the generator systems until a clean and steady stream of power can be maintained from the primary power grid for at least 20 minutes. The power systems are tested on a weekly basis to ensure its properly functioning. The redundant Liebert HVAC units control cooling and humidity levels in the data center.
Weberz’s 22414 N.E. Townsend Way data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers. The facility is connected to the Internet using two OC-48 fiber connections each of which are connected to separate self-healing fiber rings. The data centers network infrastructure is designed for maximum redundancy and minimum downtime, with routers powered using OpenBSD, and a routing system that utilizes OpenBGPD software to provide its multi stage platform using eBGP and iBGP services. The data center staff also provides support and monitoring services.
