Vazata’s Virginia data center (NoVa One) is located at 9651 Hornbaker Road, Manassas, VA 20109. The data center is situated outside the DC blast zone and just 15 miles from Dulles international airport. The facility is ideal for companies seeking high density colocation data centers, disaster recovery centers and managed services with an emphasis on data center security in a metro Washington DC data center.
The Virginia data center is a Tier III infrastructure facility with some Tier IV attributes. Vazata provides migration services from physical to virtual environment (colocation to cloud), through a solution called Vazata Cabinet. The Vazata Cabinet comes in a 42U cabinet which includes redundant power feeds, 100 Mbps of bandwidth, 500 GB of storage and a free Virtual Server. This cabinet allows customers to colocate already owned physical hardware in Tier III FISMA compliant data center, and have a sizable amount of cloud infrastructure to utilize and use as their own solution. The customer can virtualize the physical infrastructure as a DR strategy with options to grow and test their virtual environment as and when required.
The Vazata NoVa One data center is designed to meet the compliance standards of SSAE 16 SOC I Type II, SAS 70 Type II, HIPPA, PCI, SOX, FISMA, and DIACAP. The Vazata data center helps you save operating costs by meeting LEED Silver design, utilizing Hot Aisle/Cold Aisle configurations to effectively direct cool air into servers and hot air into return streams, balancing air flow. The Virginia data center has excellent security measurements including a perimeter fence, and 24 x 7 x 365 security guards. Biometric readers and CCTV for all egress and ingress points making the data center DTRA and NISPOM compliant. All the critical areas in the data center have a dual interlock dry pipe fire suppression system.
The redundant 50 MW power feeds (one optional) of Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) feed the power to the data center, all sourced from dual substations. The data center is able to provide high power densities for colocation up to 300 watts per square foot. The data center has a protected power at each level, 34.5 kV at transformer level, and 480 V at the PDUs level. N+1 configured fly-wheel UPS system protects the infrastructure upon power loss. The diesel generators are a secondary power source capable of providing continuous operations for 120 hours at full load. With the raised floor area design, NoVA one achieves a 1.48 PUE rating. The N+2 configured air and water side economization, an evaporative chilled water system, with 8 x 2 cooling towers, and 8 x 1800 ton chillers automate the environment of the data center. The data center provides high performance Blade Servers with fiber channeled SAN storage access. The data center is a carrier-neutral facility providing connectivity options through AboveNet, Fiberlight, XO, Level 3 and NOVEC, and delivered via three diverse feeds. The Virginia data center has 24 x 7 x 365 help desk and onsite support.
