The data center provides 3,500 square feet of 12 inches concrete raised floor that provides subfloor cable management. The data center has met the rigorous compliance requirements and is a certified SAS 70 type II facility. The data center is a secure facility with 16 video cameras monitoring every corner of facility and recording each movement, employee background checks, colocation room is manned 24×7, and physical access to the colocation space is biometrically and pass code controlled. The data center is equipped with zoned FM 200 foam fire suppression system for meeting any fire emergency.
The Minnetonka data center is a reliable and fault tolerant N+1 power infrastructure with concurrently maintainable design. The power to the facility is served by two separate Xcel Energy grids with 1,600 Amps of power is available to the computer room. The critical infrastructure is protected by multiple 75 kVA Liebert 3000 series inline UPS system in N+1 redundancy on sudden power failure. The emergency power to the facility is provided by 1 x natural gas generator and 1 x diesel fuel generator on the prolonged power outage. The data center provides 2×20 Amps power circuits to each cabinet with provisioning of additional circuits, and can provide DC power on request. The cooling and humidity is automated through dual 20 tons glycol based Liebert HVAC units on separate power grids.
