Located just outside downtown Chicago, Ubiquity Server’s Oak Brook data center is located at 1808 Swift Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
Ubiquity’s Oak Brook data center offers clients a bevy of features and redundancies that make it an attractive choice for clients’ IT infrastructure needs. The data center is 86,260 total square feet, located in a very low profile building with a single point of entry. Inside the facility, a network operations center continuously monitors multiple layers of physical security including 24 hour a day, seven-day a week security personnel, biometric security scanners, multiple bullet proof circle-lock man traps, camera systems and motion detection throughout the facility. The data center is also SAS70 Type II certified.
Ubiquity is also able to provide clients with a 100% uptime service level agreement because of the reliability and stability of their power and network infrastructures. The power system is set up in an N+1 redundant UPS configuration, and N+1 redundant diesel generators are in place in case of any primary utility power failure. Each diesel generator is connected to a 2,000 gallon tank. The power infrastructure allows up to 150+ watts per square foot across the data center.
The environment of the facility is also closely maintained and monitored. Twenty 135 ton Trane compressors are arranged in a 2N+1 configuration and three 20 ton Liebert cooling systems are also arranged in a 2N+1 set up. The physical environment is also protected by a VESDA air sampling smoke detector, as dry pipe fire suppression system. Additional fire extinguishers are also located throughout the facility.
