TulsaConnect Tulsa data center (DC3) is located at 4500 S., 129th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74134, and one of three data center facilities in Tulsa. The facility is located near Broken Arrow, and provides the fully redundant infrastructure. The data center provides amenities like onsite cafe, walking trails in park like settings, and ample free parking. The facility is in close proximity to top rated hotels. The data center is located 16 feet underground to provide protection from adverse weather events, and has 13″ thick reinforced concrete exterior walls with extensive water control system.
The data center offers colocation space starting from single server, half and full cabinets, and can accommodate a several contiguous racks. The facility consists of two data centers PODs, each capable of housing up to 75 cabinets of 42U size. The data center is a certified SSAE 16 type II facility, and also meets the complex compliance requirements of HIPAA. The data center provides raised floor space for subfloor cable management and efficient airflow. The facility provides a secure environment through 24x7x365 video surveillance with archiving for 90 days, security guards with roving indoor and outdoor patrols, escorted access into data center floor, all entrance and exit is logged and recorded, locked cabinets, and biometric access control system. The facility uses ECARO clean agent gas fire suppression system for the life and equipment safety in an event of fire.
Tulsa data center (DC3) provides a reliable power infrastructure with protection at each level, and is served by true dual power substations electrical feeds with automatic switchgear to switch between substations. The critical infrastructure is protected by PowerWare 9315 and Eaton 9395 UPS system on the loss of utility power. The backup power to data center is provided by onsite dedicated 800 kW Caterpillar diesel generator for extended power outages. The data center uses ASCO 7000 ATS or ASCO 7000 MTS. TulsaConnect also owns and can provide a portable diesel generator that can be hooked up in case of any onsite diesel generator fails in minutes. All of the customers’ equipment is connected to remotely manageable PDUs that allows to control power to equipment down to the individual power outlet level. The cooling and humidity in the data center is effectively moderated through Liebert DX CRAC units in N+2 redundant configuration. The data center uses standard hot aisle/cold aisle cooling design.
TulsaConnect (DC3) 4500 S., 129th E Ave data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center has redundant GigE internet backbone connections from Level3, Time Warner, Cox, and Cogent. The facility uses Juniper M series routers used at network edge, and Cisco carrier class routing switches at the core and distribution layers. The facility offers free cross connect services for analog phone services (POTS), T1, and DS3. The data center provides both MPLS and Metro Ethernet connections, and multiple paths between core network and distribution layer with OSPF and iBGP protocols for dynamic routing. TulsaConnect also provides Gigabit interconnect over fiber between DC1, DC2, and DC3 for intra data center traffic.
