TRG Houston Data Center

TRG Datacenters operates a large-scale data center campus in the Houston metropolitan area, located near The Woodlands and Spring, Texas. The site is positioned as a highly resilient, power-dense hub designed to serve enterprise and high-performance computing workloads. The campus currently consists of an operational facility, HOU1, alongside a second building, HOU2, which is under development and scheduled to begin delivering capacity from Q4 2026.

The Houston campus offers approximately 30 MW of total utility power, benefiting from access to the Texas ERCOT grid, which enables highly competitive electricity pricing. This makes the location particularly attractive for power-intensive deployments such as AI, GPU, and large-scale enterprise environments. The infrastructure is engineered for fault-tolerant operations, with active-active redundancy across power and cooling systems and a 100 percent uptime service level agreement.

Connectivity is a major strength of the site. The campus is carrier-neutral and hosts more than 16 on-site network providers, including being Houston’s primary Megaport internet exchange. Customers benefit from free cross-connects, helping to reduce networking costs while enabling low-latency, highly redundant connectivity options.

Resilience has been a key design priority for the Houston facilities. The campus is located outside the 500-year floodplain and is elevated above ground level to mitigate flood risk. Buildings are structurally reinforced to withstand extreme weather conditions, including hurricane-force winds exceeding 185 mph. Power infrastructure includes multiple substations, dual electrical buses, high-capacity UPS systems, and indoor backup generators with extended on-site fuel storage.

Cooling systems are designed to support both traditional enterprise workloads and high-density computing environments. Early data halls use water-free cooling architectures, reducing operational risk and environmental impact, while modular designs allow the facility to scale to higher rack densities as customer requirements evolve.

Security and operational support are also central to TRG’s Houston offering. The campus features multi-layer physical security with 24/7 on-site staffing and customizable access controls. Customers also receive complimentary 24/7 remote hands services, enabling rapid response without additional operational overhead. The facility supports a broad range of compliance requirements, including PCI, and HIPAA, making it suitable for regulated industries.

Overall, TRG’s Houston data center campus is positioned as a cost-efficient, highly resilient, and scalable infrastructure location, combining low power pricing, strong connectivity, and robust physical design to support both current and future enterprise and high-performance computing needs.
