TierPoint – Waterbury Data Center

TierPoint’s Waterbury data center is located at 108 Bank St., 5th Floor, Waterbury, CT 06702. The data center is approximately located 25 miles southwest of Hartford and is in heart of the I-84 corridor. The facility is situated safely away from major population centers and flood zones. The multitenant five story standalone building is a secure construction with concrete, steel and bricks.

The data center provides N+1 colocation space options ranging from single U cabinet space, 1/4 cabinet, 1/3 cabinet, 1/2 cabinet, full cabinet, locking cabinet, customized cage space, and private suites. The data center provides 30,000 square feet of total space including 11,950 square feet of anti-static raised floor and business continuity space. The data center is annually audited for its controls and is a SSAE 16 SOC1 and SOC2 Type II certified facility. Excellent security measures prevent any unauthorized access to the data center with 24x7x365 onsite personnel, monitoring through CCTV cameras and monitored open door and security breach alarms. The data center is equipped with an early warning smoke detection system and dual interlock pre action dry pipe fire suppression system to meet any fire emergencies.

Waterbury data center provides reliable and fault tolerant power infrastructure and can offer 100% SLA on power. 1MW power to the data center is fed through shared utility feed from Connecticut Power & Light. Immediate power failure is protected by a redundant and diverse 2N UPS system with installed capacity of 255kW in total for critical load, in an event of utility power loss. The standby diesel generators provide backup power to the entire facility during a power outage, with onsite fuel storage. Power to each cabinet is delivered in a fully diverse A&B feed with each circuit run from different UPS and generator system that insure uninterrupted power to the system. The data center supports power densities of 100-150+ watts per square feet. Multiple redundant CRAC units in N+1 redundancy maintain appropriate cooling and humidity levels in the data center for optimized performance of all components and can be monitored remotely.

The 108 Bank St. data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple carriers and service providers. The data center offers 100% SLA on network connectivity with flexible solutions including optical fiber, copper and wireless. The data center has multiple diverse fiber feeds to other TierPoint facilities. 24x7x365 NOC with onsite Level 2 and Level 3 Engineers provides helpdesk and support services.
