TierPoint’s State College data center is located at 441 Science Park Road, State College, PA 16803. The State College data center is designed to ensure that critical IT system, applications, and data are safe from tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods and other disasters.
State College data center is a Tier I infrastructure. The colocation services are provided through half and full cabinets. State College data center provides 5,000 square feet of space, and is SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certified facility. The data center is a raised floor design. The facility provides 24 x 7 x 365 video surveillance, key card access, and also individual cabinets combination locks. The data center is equipped with waterless clean agent FM 200 and dry pipe fire suppression system.
The data center has a very reliable and scalable power infrastructure, and utility power is provided through Allegheny Power Company. The immediate power failure is protected by 2 x 150 kVA UPS system with battery bank. Power protected circuits from diverse UPS can be delivered to any cabinet. The 600 kVA Caterpillar diesel generator provides the backup facility on the loss of utility power. The redundant HVAC system effectively moderate the cooling and humidity in the data center.
State data center is a carrier neutral facility, and provides redundant fiber connectivity. TierPoint utilize Internet and MPLS connectivity via multiple fiber routes in and out of colocation, as well as diverse paths to the Internet.
