TierPoint’s Newton data center is located at 403 West 4th St. N Newton IA 50208. The Newton data center is designed to ensure that critical IT systems, applications, and data are safe from fires, earthquakes and other disasters.
Newton data center is a Tier I infrastructure. The Iowa colocation services are provided through half and full cabinets. The Newton data center is a SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certified facility. The TierPoint data center has a very reliable and scalable power infrastructure. In the event do an immediate power failure, the facility is protected by UPS systems with a battery bank. The diesel generator provides the backup power for the facility on the loss of utility power. The N+1 configured HVAC system effectively moderates the cooling and humidity for the IT performance of all IT equipment.
The TierPoint Newton data center is a carrier neutral facility, and provides redundant fiber connectivity. The network infrastructure is a Cisco certified core network, and has access to the TierPoint MPLS network. TierPoint utilizes Internet and MPLS connectivity via multiple fiber routes in and out of Iowa colocation, as well as diverse paths to the Internet. The TierPoint data center also has remote hands/eye support for customer’s equipment.
