TierPoint’s Little Rock data center is located at 15707 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, AR 72223. The TierPoint data center strategically located outside of severe weather and seismic zones, and is rated to withstand hurricane force winds. The building is built out of masonry and steel construction, and full brick ballistic resistant walls, doors, and windows. The Little Rock data center is designed to meet the most demanding requirements ensuring systems, applications, and data are safe from tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods and other disasters.
The Little Rock colocation services are provided through half / full cabinets and secured custom caged space. All the cage locks require unique laser etched keys with magnetic signatures to get access. The data center provides 30,000 square feet of data center, office building and NOC space, including 9,000 square feet of 24 and 36 inches raised floor rated to support 1,200lbs /square feet. The data center is SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certified. The TierPoint data center has a very secure environment including 24 x 7 physical security, and sensor driven camera monitoring and recording of all the areas. Two factor authentication that includes the use of biometric hand scanners and card reader access system before allowing entry into data center. Double man trap forces double verification and provides extra secure data center entry. The data center has three level alarm alert throughout the complex. FM 200 gas fire suppression and pre action sprinklers, double interlock dry pipe fire suppression system with multi zone VESDA detection is installed in the data center.
The TierPoint data center is fully 2N power design, and provides 6,000 kVA of utility power expandable to 12,000 kVA. Facility is fully 2N configured A-Side and B-Side power distribution design with automated failover between electrical systems. The fast detection and switching capability, less than 4ms of 12 x 300 kVA Static Transfer Switch PDUs allows for uninterrupted power even for a single power supplied equipment. Each customer cabinet have redundant A-side and B-side power feeds. True 2N UPS redundancy with both A-Side and B-Side electrical system having two paralleled 750 kVA high-efficiency Mitsubishi UPS system. Emergency power to the facility is provided by redundant 2,250 kVA Kohler diesel generator, and redundant A-side and B-side ASCO 7000 series Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) with isolation bypass. All the power infrastructure including cages and cabinets are properly grounded.
2N chiller redundancy with 2N chilled water redundancy dedicated to each chiller including 2 x high-efficiency 450 tons McQuay air-cooled chillers, 9 x 60 tons high-efficiency Liebert CRAH units in N+1 configuration. Raised floor provides conditioned air for more efficient and effective cooling of computer equipment. Foreseer and JACE Building Management System is installed with on site and remote monitoring and control of all HVAC, generators, UPS systems and switchboards, as well as other mechanical systems.
The Little Rock data center is a carrier neutral facility and fully redundant core network gear within the data center. The network infrastructure is Cisco certified core network, and access to TierPoint MPLS network. The facility is connected to multiple TierPoint core POP sites via redundant OC-192 10Gbps circuits. 24 x 7 x 365, and fully redundant peering with multiple Tier-1 ISPs. Network Operation Center (NOC) provides facility and network monitoring, security, technical, and remote hands support.
