The Seattle Westin Building data center is located at 2001 6th Ave., Seattle, WA 98121. The building is built to seismic zone 3 standards with seismic retrofit completed in 2007. The building provides amenities like reservable conference room with Puget Sound View on 16th floor, convenience store at 3rd floor, soup and sandwich cafe on 1st floor as well as a barber shop. The neighborhood amenities include four star hotel, light-rail station with direct access to SeaTac International Airport, and walking distance to many important places. The building has 400 secure, covered parking spaces.
The data center provides colocation through individual locking cabinets, customized cages space, private suites, and power based shells. The data center provides 400,000 square feet of rentable space, with approximately 60,000 retail colocation space, and has floor load capacity of 150 lbs. per square feet. The data center is regularly audited in accordance with SSAE 16 SOC I type II requirements, and is a PCI DSS compliant facility. The facility has multiple layers of security, including 24x7x365 security guards on site, 24x7x365 secure and monitored access, CCTV monitoring, proximity card readers, and secure access through the use of key card. The data center uses pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for extinguishing any fire spark.
The Westin Building is a reliable power infrastructure with power to building is served by multiple 13.4 kV utility feeds, diverse power substations, and multiple 480V 3 phase transformers vaults. The entire critical infrastructure is protected by dual 500 kVA UPS system in 2N redundancy on the loss of utility power. The 17 diesel generators capable of generating 19.5 MW of electricity provide the emergency power on the prolonged power outage. The data center provides AC and DC power options, and support power densities of 150 watts per square feet with higher wattage available. The diverse power in true A+B redundant feeds is delivered to each cabinet. The five diverse cooling towers in N+1 redundancy, with onsite makeup water tanks effectively control the cooling and humidity levels in the data center. The building has 24x7x365 has engineering staff available onsite.
The Westin Building is a carrier neutral facility with more than 200 carriers, ISPs, and service providers. The building has multiple, fully diverse underground main point entry’s (MPOEs). The building has perimeter fiber and copper meet me rooms (MMRs), and also provides dark fiber connectivity. The Westin building kick started due to availability of rooftop space for line of site connectivity. The data center offers two levels of remote hands services; Level 1 is 24×7 emergency first response for tasks taking 15 minutes or less while Level 2 is for tasks typically scheduled for day but also available after hours.

This 34 story building was constructed in the outskirts of Seattle’s central business district in 1981 by a group of four equal partners. As one of the largest carrier hotels in the United States, over two hundred telecom, Internet, and service providers are located within the building. Through extensive fiber and copper Meet Me Rooms (MMR), the Westin Building offers neutral connectivity points to Asian, Canadian, European, and American network service providers, carriers, and ISPs. The building also provides access to numerous other networks via the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) and the Pacific Northwest Giga PoP (PN-WGP). The Westin Building has been rebranded as Westin Building Exchange in 2013. The Westin Building owners have started offering colocation and managed services in 2001.
