Terremark’s Miami data center is located at 50 ne 9th street, Miami, FL 33131. The data center is purpose built facility with data center floor built 32 feet above the sea level. The facility is seven inches thick steel reinforced concrete exterior panels, designed to withstand Category 5 hurricane level winds , and is located outside FEMA 500 years flood zone. The data center is located in downtown Miami, an area that has numerous telecommunications carrier facilities, fiber loops, international cable landings and multiple power grids.

Miami data center is a Tier IV infrastructure. The colocation services are provided through open racks, cabinets, and customized caged floor spaces. The data center provides 750,000 square feet of space. The data center is a SAS 70 Type II certified facility. The data center has a centrally located Command Center manned by security personnel 24 hours a day. Security personnel monitor all security cameras, guard building entrance and exit access points, and control key card access to elevators, floors and roof areas. In addition, environmental sensors notify tenants and mobilize rescue in case of emergency. The entire 125,000 square foot third floor of the facility is dedicated to Federal government users, access to this floor is restricted to US citizens and requires a government clearance. TotalPac Pre-action dry pipe fire suppression system which holds water outside of the building until a fire is verified, ensuring that water will not accidentally drain into equipment areas. The electronic detection systems is installed for managing and monitoring all environmental systems.

The data center offers 100 % SLA on power. The redundant power vaults is fed from two independent substations. Uninterrupted power provided by 12 HiTEC Continuous Power Systems providing 10x better transfer rate than typical battery-based UPS. 3600 tons of redundant chiller provides the cooling and humidity control in the data center.
