Chelsea data center is a Tier III facility, and is operational since 2011. The New York colocation services are provided through partial/full cabinets, caged space, and private suites. The facility SSAE 16 SOC I Type II certified is located at 7th floor and provides 60,000 square feet of colocation space, 18 inches of raised floor, and rooftop antenna access. The layered security at the Chelsea Center begins with restricted elevator access to the 7th Floor, weight sensitive mantrap with biometric perimeter access ensuring only authorized personnel can enter and 24X7 security personnel providing final photo ID approval. The data center is equipped with smoke alarms, pre-action sprinklers, and gas fire suppression system.
The New York data center is a redundant, N+1 power design, with a commercial power capacity of 4.15 MVA. Power failure is protected by 4 x 750 kVA UPS system with battery back-up in a N+1 configuration, capable of providing 15 minutes of facility backup at full load. The continuous secondary power is provided by 2 x 2.5 MVA diesel generators in a N+1 configuration with 80 hours of running time. The N+1 configured cooling system is installed in the data center for automating temperature and humidity in the data centers. The centralized monitoring for all HVAC systems, and all building system 24/7 in the data center.
The Telehouse data center is a carrier neutral facility with options to connect with 18 carriers/ISPs capable of meeting any telecom need. Chelsea has dual diverse building fiber entrances from public manholes coupled to dual building risers, and offers connection to NYIIX, New York’s largest, most active IP peering exchange, ranking in top 10 internationally. 24 x 7 customer’s assistance center with onsite technical support provides Remote Hands and full Manage-E services. Level 2 to Level 4 support is available.
