Tech Vault’s South Burlington data center is located at 21 Gregory Drive, Suite 165, South Burlington, VT 05403. The data center is located in the heart of Vermont’s primary business region, and is constructed with hardened exterior perimeter walls. The facility has ample on site parking available. The data center provides colocation, disaster recovery, and managed services.
The South Burlington data center is a 35,000 square foot facility. The data center has fully secure loading docks that include a 5,000 lbs. hydraulic lift for the ease of hardware offloading. The data center has anti-static floor on structured slab grade construction. The data center is a SSAE 16 SOC I certified facility, and HIPAA, PCI compliant. The data center has video surveillance cameras with recording utilized externally and internally 24 x 7 x 365. The data center has mantrap access only via triple token security processes with dual factor biometric scan, integrated HID proximity card reader, and secured personal identification number (PIN) providing the highest level of security. Further, the data center entrance is less than 200 feet from the main entrance of the South Burlington Police Department headquarters. The data center uses Advanced NOVEC-1230 SAPPHIRE clean agent fire suppression system for any fire spark.
The South Burlington, Vermont data center has an energy-efficient design and has achieved the LEED silver certification, and is helping lead the industry to new thresholds for energy efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions. The data center offers 100% SLA on power and has low PUE. The data center has 1 MW utility power using a dedicated utility company service feed, and 1,000 kVA transformer, allowing for 2 x 1,200 Amp power feeds directly into the facility. Power is available at the rack in 120V or 240V configurations. The data center has dual 500 KW APC’s Symmetra UPS system in N+1 configuration. The emergency power is provided by dual 800 KW Caterpillar diesel generators in N+1 redundancy. The 24 x 7 x 365 fuel supply agreement is in place in case of prolonged power outages. The diverse power system also include APC Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and ASCO Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). The data center cooling design is customized to accommodate standard, high density, and super high density rack environments, and utilized Schneider Electric, APC industry leading In-Row cooling technology with integrated humidification in N+1 configuration. All systems are monitored and managed 24 x 7 x 365 by Schneider Electrics Continuum One automated controls software.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility, and has two Tier I providers including Level 3 and Fairpoint. The data center offers 100% SLA on network uptime. Tech Vault is a node on each carrier’s regional SONET ring. The network systems are delivered by redundant Cisco router infrastructure, and BGP services keep systems available and online in any event. Dual entrance fiber routes are installed from both providers, and virtually unlimited Internet capacity is available from both providers. The data center has trained and certified technician’s onsite 24 x 7 x 365 for helpdesk and support services. The support staff also provides remote hands services.
