The T5 Kings Mountain data center is a Tier III infrastructure. The data center provides enterprise users complete control of the data center’s MEP design topology and expansion capability. The data center has 146,000 square feet of data center space, expandable to 468,000 square feet to meet the ever growing demands of businesses. The data center is LEED certified core and Shell certified. The data center offers aggressive state and local incentives with upto 100% abatement on machinery, equipment and software used in data centers and significantly reduced real and personal business property taxes. The King Mountain data center has an on-site 180 MW substation from Duke Energy with sub-$0.05 per kWh electric utility costs. Dual circuit 100 kV grid connector provides diversity and redundancy at the transmission level. The entire electrical and mechanical infrastructure is configured in N+1 redundancy with an optional 2N UPS capability that keeps the critical system up and running. Green Energy, including 55% nuclear now, and 12.5% “renewable” energy by 2021.
