SunGard’s colocation services include tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 11,000 square feet of total space including 18 inches of raised floor space. The data center has implemented multiple physical layers of security with controlled security procedures. The data center uses VESDA early smoke detection apparatus for any fire spark.
St. Louis data center provides a reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The immediate power failure is protected by 2 x 500 kVA parallel UPS systems and 1 x 550 kVA parallel UPS system. The standby power is provided by 1,500 kW diesel generator with 2,500 gallons of fuel storage tank. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 7 x 26 tons HVAC units, 3 x 30 tons HVAC units, and 2 x 15 tons HVAC units.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center has Cisco system powered Internet Mesh platform, 7 x local loop providers over SONET, 2 x hubbed DS-3s for PTP and frame relay connections, and dual Ethernet drops to every customer cabinet.
