SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The facility provides 14,000 square feet of 24 inches raised floor space for cooling and power distribution. Multiple physical layers of security with controlled security procedures, and CCTV monitoring and DVR recording. The data center uses cheetah/fike fire suppression system with VESDA smoke detection apparatus for early smoke alert.
Pittsburgh data center is a reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The immediate power failure is protected by 1 x redundant 500 kVA UPS system and 1 x redundant 160 kVA UPS system. The standby power is provided by 1,500 kW CAT diesel generator with 3,000 gallon fuel tank and 1,250 kW Cummins diesel generator with 1,300 gallon fuel tank. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 7 x 26 tons HVAC units with leak detection and 2 x 30 tons HVAC units with leak detection.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center provides Cisco/Juniper powered Internet mesh platform, three local loop providers over SONET, three hubbed DS-3s for PTP and relay connections, and 2 x Juniper M10I border routers and 4x 6509 access switches.
