SunGard – Philadelphia Data Center (PHL-833)

SunGard Philadelphia data center (PHL-833) is located at 833 Chestnut Street, 11th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106. The data center has 2 x conference rooms and provides large staging area for short term customer shipment storage. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, recovery and hotsite services, workforce continuity, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 18,600 square feet of space and also provides 24 inches of raised floor space. The data center security features 24 x 7 security services, video surveillance in all rows on raised floor, controlled security procedures, badge readers and video surveillance at all points of entry, and secure suite within secure building with 24 x 7 security personnel. The data center uses pre action dry pipe sprinkler fire suppression system with VESDA control for any fire spark.

Philadelphia data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The power to data center is served by 2 x redundant utility feeds from separate power grids. The immediate power failure is protected by 2 x redundant 500kVA UPS banks and 1 x redundant 100kVA UPS bank. The standby power is provided by 2000 kW Cummins diesel generator on the loss of utility power.  The primary environmental chilled water system used in data center consists of 17 x 26 tons CRAC Units with leak detection in N+1 configuration and 400 tons chillers and circulating pumps in N+1 configuration. The supplemental environmental DX system consists of 2 x 30 tons CRAC units and 2x 20 tons CRAC units. The data center also uses above and sub floor zone temperature monitoring via DataTrax.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to 2 x Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center provides 1x hubbed DS-3 for PTP and frame relay connections, redundant Juniper Internet routers, and dual Ethernet drops to every customer cabinet.
