SunGard – Dallas Data Center (DAL-1001)

SunGard Dallas data center (DAL-1001) is located at 1001 Campbell Road, Dallas, TX 75080. The data center has 3 x conference rooms; customer office space with kitchen, vending machines and employee kitchen area, and 3 x full size interior loading docks. The data center also provides secured storage areas for temporary equipment storage. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, enterprise cloud services, remote managed IT services, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 75,000 square feet of total space, including 33,500 square feet of raised floor space. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with compliant with PCI DSS and ISO standards. The data center security features onsite security personnel 24×7 and CCTV video surveillance system with DVR recording. The facility has biometric and card security system in place and mantrap entry and badge only access. The data center uses dual fire suppression system including pre action dry pipe sprinkler fire suppression system and FM200 fire suppression system for any fire spark. The data center also has got VESDA early smoke detection apparatus for an early alert and under the floor water detection system.

Dallas data center provides a N+1 to 2N+1 power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The power to data center is fed from 6 MW ONCOR single electrical feed. The data center has 3750 KVA GE redundant transformers in ring configuration and 34 x Emerson/Liebert Power Distribution Units (PDUs). The immediate power failure is protected by 8 x 750 KVA Liebert modules in N+ 2 configurations. The standby power is provided by LT/CAT 2,000 kW diesel generators with 72+ hours fuel supply onsite. The system is pre-engineered to add four more generators as growth requires. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by N+1 Trane centrifugal chillers.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center provides meshed, multi-vendor Internet transit connectivity, multiple ILEC and CLEC access providers, diverse fiber entry and intra-building fiber paths, redundant internal network distribution platforms, dual customer physical handoffs (Copper, single-mode and multi-mode fiber), and 10 x Telco carriers. 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
