SunGard Carlstadt data center (CRL-777) is located at 777 Central Boulevard, Carlstadt, NJ 7072. The data center has 26 x universal command centers, 8 x Mainframe tape rooms, 12 x mid range tape rooms, 17 x customer lounges/conference rooms, 1 x media room, and 2 x quiet rooms All areas handicapped accessible by ramps for ease of movement of materials and equipment. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, recovery and hotsite services, workforce continuity, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services. The data center hardware and infrastructure is from Dell, HP, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and EVault combined with recovery assistance services and standby operating systems.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 326,000 square feet of total space, including 40,000 square feet of raised floor space and 132,000 square feet for recovery services. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with compliant with PCI DSS and ISO standards. The data center security features 24 x 7 security guards, closed circuit TV throughout facility with archiving for 31 days, interior/exterior monitoring, state of the art access card system, and biometric readers. The 2 x 2 hours fire wall surrounds the entire data center. The data center uses pre action dry and wet pipe sprinkler fire suppression system and smoke detectors for any fire spark.

Carlstadt data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The data center has 2 x diverse utility feeds from local power provider (PSE&G); 2 x SunGard 26KV to 13.2KV transformers, 9 x utility substations, one of which is used for maintenance. The immediate power failure is protected by 11 x UPS systems, one of which is used for maintenance, and the standby power is provided by 8 x 2 MW diesel generators. The data center uses ASCO Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), and provides PDU condition power. The data center provides 24 x 7 electrical support. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 20 x 30 tons Liebert CRAC units, 75 x 24 tons Liebert CRAC units, 30 x 20 tons Liebert CRAC units, supplying over 4,000 tons of condition air to facility. The data center also provides 24 x 7 onsite HVAC support. The facility uses ALC monitoring system.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One ISPs. The data center provides direct carrier connectivity to VZB, Verizon Core, AT&T, Time Warner, RCN, 4connections, Optimum Lightpath & MFN Abovenet. The facility offers diverse routing to the street via SunGard owned and managed conduits. The network infrastructure is based on 3000 port Cisco catalyst network supporting 10/100/1000 connectivity to Mainframe, HP, AS400, AIX, Sun & Wintel. 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
