SunGard - Atlanta Data Center (ATL-5600)

SunGard Atlanta data center (ATL-5600) is located at 5600 United Drive, Smyrna, GA 30082. The data center is convenient suburban location located at 20 minutes from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson international airport. The facility provides space for conference rooms, office rooms, lounge area and 275 furnished end user recovery stations. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, enterprise cloud services, remote managed IT services, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 134,800 square feet of total space, including 16,000 square feet of raised floor space. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with PCI DSS standards. Multiple physical layers of security with controlled security procedures is maintained in the data center with CCTV surveillance system on every aisle and minimum 30 days DVR backup, exterior security cameras, integrated card reader security system, and biometric authentication system. The data center also utilizes the third party security services. The data center uses pre action sprinkler FM200 gaseous fire suppression system with VESDA control smoke detection apparatus for any fire spark.

Smyrna data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The power to data center is fed by 2 x 20 kV power feeds from separate power substations. The immediate power failure is protected by 6 x 750 kVA Liebert UPS bank and 1 x 300 kVA Liebert UPS bank. The standby power is provided by 1875 kVA Cummins diesel generator, 750 kVA Caterpillar diesel generator, and 2 x 2000 kVA Caterpillar diesel generators. The data center has 10,650 gallons of fuel storage onsite, and 24 x 7 fuel refill contracts with multiple vendors. The data center uses 2 x GE Zenith ATS and 1 x ASCO ATS. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 42 x CRAC units providing approximately 1,200 tons of cooling. The facility uses ALC monitoring system.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center provides SunGard global network access, LAN bridging for upto five 10Mbps and one 100 Mbps, AT&T frame relay DRO service, AT&T ATM DRO service, MCI frame relay PVC ReDirect ISDN, Nortel Meridian option 81C etc. 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
