SunGard – Atlanta Data Center (ATL-11650)

SunGard Atlanta data center (ATL-11650) is located at 11650 Great Oaks Way, Alpharetta, GA 30022. The data center has 2 x conference rooms facility and 2 x customer break rooms. All areas in data center are handicapped accessible. The data center offers colocation and managed hosting, enterprise cloud services, remote managed IT services, messaging and collaboration, and network and managed security services.

SunGard colocation services includes tailored colocation data center space including cabinets with 42U capacity, or secure cages offering more space and added security for compliance. The data center provides 578,000 square feet of total space, including 230,000 square feet of raised floor space. The data center adheres to SAS 70 Type II along with compliant with HIPAA and ISO standards. The data center provides regular, ISO-controlled, preventive maintenance on all mission-critical systems. The data center provides 24 x 7 x 365 security staff, CCTV video surveillance and infrastructure monitoring, and locked cabinets and cages. The access to data center floor is subject to biometric and card key authentication. The data center uses pre action sprinkler FM200 gaseous fire suppression system with VESDA control smoke detection apparatus for any fire spark

Alpharetta data center provides a very reliable power infrastructure, and offers 100% SLA on power. The data center has four independent loop fed utility power feeds. The immediate power failure is protected by 3 x redundant 500 kVA UPS banks in N+1 configuration providing 7 MW of total capacity. The standby power is provided by 1 x 1,500 kVA Cummins Synergy generator with 4,000 gallon fuel tank, 1 x 1,200 kVA CAT generator with 4,000 gallon fuel tank, and 2 x 2,000 kVA Cummins Synergy generators with 2 X 4,000 gallon tanks. The data center has 24 x 7 fuel refill contracts with multiple vendors. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by 40 x CRAC units with leak detection, and 4,100 tons of chilled water capacity. The facility uses automated building monitoring and management system.

The data center is a carrier neutral facility with connectivity to multiple Tier One backbones via carrier-diverse local loops. The data center has diverse fiber entry and intra-building fiber paths, and multiple ILEC and CLEC access providers. The data center provides private production and recovery MPLS backbone access dedicated to SunGard subscriber traffic. 24 x 7 x 365 onsite NOC provides the support and helpdesk services to its customers.
