The data center provides amenities and facilities like shipping and receiving station, training centers, client work area, wireless internet access, ample parking, equipment lifts, freight elevators, free beverage & snack machines for client use.
ScaleMatrix Houston data center offers shared colocation space available in rack units, 1/2 colocation cabinets, full private colocation cabinets, and customized cages and private suites from 100 square feet to 25,000 square feet. The data center provides 40,000 square feet of total space with an expansion facility of 100,000 square feet in future. The facility provides raised floor for the efficient management of structured cabling and cooling to equipment.
The data center is a SSAE 16 SOC II certified facility. The facility is monitored 24 x 7 x 365 by both the ScaleMatrix NOC and armed security guards. The data center entrance and exit requires two factor authentications of both key code and biometric signature. ScaleMatrix protects each and every client cabinet with the Digitus Biometric locking system. Each cabinet is monitored and access is controlled by a predefined access list which authorized clients can manage through their online portal. Individual fire detection, suppression, and EPO systems are deployed at the cabinet level ensuring that fire has no impact on the surrounding cabinet or clients nearby. The data center uses VESDA fire detection system, and pre action dry pipe fire suppression system for any fire spark.
The Houston data center has a reliable power infrastructure with power available in N+1 or 2N configuration. The dual path design delivers two independent connections to each client cabinet, providing 110v and 208v power at any amperage. Power is deployed in an A + B fashion with independent circuit connects to A & B Power Distribution Units (PDU) located throughout the data center floor, with each set of PDU’s tying back to independent A & B UPS plants. Each UPS plant is connected to independent Caterpillar Generators, each equipped with fuel storage and priority fueling contracts. The data center provides power density of 240watts per square feet. The cooling and humidity in the data center is controlled by chilled water 2N configured chillers, and CRAC units in N+1 configuration.
The data center is a carrier neutral facility with premium multi-homed connectivity, and offer 100% SLA on uptime. The data center boasts a state of the art Brocade enabled architecture platform, complete with edge, distribution, and aggregation devices, interconnected via redundant 10Gbps links. The facility is equipped with multiple fiber entrances, and IP carriers deliver transit services via diverse pathways. The data center has elevated roof access with ample space for antenna equipment. The 24 x 7 x 365 NOC provides helpdesk and support services, and also offers extended remote hand services.
